Please refer to your primary healthcare provider with questions or concerns related to your health.
Is it vegan?
Are Sparkling Botanicals certified organic?
Although we use nearly 100% organic ingredients in our Sparkling Botanicals, we have not yet applied for USDA certification. This is for a couple of different reasons. Firstly, we source ingredients of such rarefied quality that we must be nimble enough to work with multiple different growers that may work in regions where, although the highest of agricultural practices are observed, it cannot be economically justified for them to go through the certification process.
Secondly, boutique co-packing manufacturing simply did not exist when we began this project. For that reason, we built our own plant and are currently working through the organic certification process. As we expand and scale, we will continue to collaborate with partners committed to the highest manufacturing processes.
Is it certified Kosher?
No, Sparkling Botanicals is not certified Kosher due to similar conditions outlined in our organic certification. Firstly, we source ingredients of such rarefied quality that we must be nimble enough to work with multiple different growers where various products will be combined. Secondly, boutique co-packing manufacturing simply did not exist when we began this project. For that reason, we built our own plant and collaborate with partners, which limits the ability to certify every lot of product.

Sparkling Botanicals is completely alcohol free. The method of brewing used in Sparkling Botanicals is very different from the brewing of kombucha and does not involve fermentation to produce the final product.
How is it different from kombucha?
Kombucha is a fermented tea that employs a SCOBY (symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast) to create fizzy fermentation. Kombucha requires the addition of a sugar source to promote fermentation from the SCOBY. Sparking Botanicals requires a specialized brewing process and does not involve fermentation to produce the final product.
What is fermented green tea?
Kurokoji is a rare Japanese green tea that is fermented using koji, a special culinary fermentation mold that transforms the tannins of Japanese green tea into fantastic aromas evoking plum, raisin and Port wine. The fermentation also darkens the tea leaves to a rich chocolate brown color. Rest assured this is intentional for flavor development and also supports digestive health.
